Officers not present at the October meeting were inducted by Brother Hackett.  These included Senior Vice Commander Waymon Burke, Jr Vice Commander Joe Johnson, Patriotic Instructor Perry Greene and Historian Steve Pearce.

There were no minutes since the January Meeting was the Townes Ceremony in Athens..  Brother Hintze reported that there was $508.97 in the checking account and that we had 14 paid members for 2005.  Brother Hackett said he would send out a 2nd letter to members who owe dues.  Brother Hogan gave the Graves Registration Report.

New Business

Brother Johnson mentioned that the Sultanta Monument at the Mt Olive Cemetery in Knoxville needs restoration.  It was suggested that the Dept of Tennessee might be able to get a Grant from Headquarters.  At the Department Encampment, Brother Brian Hogan won the award as best member and our camp won best web page.  Brother Hackett gave these awards to Brother Hogan and webmaster Brother Pearce.  Awards were also available to give to the 42nd Indiana for there participation in the Townes ceremony but they were not present at the meeting.

Brother Johnson agreed to serve on the Scholarship committee.

The next Department Encampment will be back in Madison County for 2006.  The meeting will be at Highlands Methodist Church or Calhoun.  Brother Burke will check on the availability for the last week end in January.

Memorial Day was penciled in.  We will check with Brother Davis for the availability of the 42nd Indiana.

Brother Johnson’s father, J.P. Johnson was inducted as a member.

Brother Cottrell closed the meeting with the Benediction.
