Note:  Starting January 27, 2003, meetings are the last Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M, at Highlands United Methodist Church, 3921 Broadmor Road, Huntsville, Alabama.  See the Camp webpage for directions. 

 

On December 28 a Christmas/New Year social coupled with a discussion of 2003 activities was held at the home of Brother David Milam.

 

Old business: 

The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

 

In the silent auction for the two pictures, Brother Hogan is now the proud owner of the Battle of Fredericksburg picture, and Brother Steve Pearce the Battle of Fair Oaks picture.

 

New Business

Since National is raised dues $6.00, the Camp was forced to consider and debate raising the dues as well.  The dues for 2003 was voted on and approved at $25.00 up from $20.00.  Please send dues made out to SUVCW to

Brother Joe Johnson is preparing a seeker for January and February.  February the Camp is honoring WWII veterans.

 

The Department of Tennessee will host its 8th Annual Encampment on Saturday, 1 March 2003, at the Radisson Inn-Huntsville Airport in Madison, Alabama.  All members and prospective members are welcome to attend.  Registration forms will be available at the February meeting and at the door.

 

 

 

Sickness and Distress:  Brother Joe Johnson’s parents doing better.

 

Treasurer’s report through December 31, 2002: 

Checking Account Balance $202.72

Savings Account $25.00

A disbursement of $97.00 will be made to National to close out 2002.

 

Secretary’s Report

Camp has 30 Members that includes, 1 Life Member, 1 Junior Member, and 2 Members holding dual membership with another Camp.
