Note: The October Meeting/Installation of Officers will be at Sue and Bill Hollis' home on Brindley mountain at 171 Buzzards Bottom Private Drive. The meeting is on Saturday, October 19. The time will be from 3 to 5pm, rain or shine. Directions follow the report.

There is no bid, as of yet, on the Battle
of Fair Oaks picture
New Business:
Since National raised dues $6.00,
the Camp was forced to consider and debate raising the dues as well. The dues for 2003 was voted on and approved
at $25.00 up from $20.00.
The Veterans Day parade was
discussed and the Camp decided to participate in the Huntsville Veterans Day
parade on November 11. Brother Pearce,
with the help of Brother Hackett, registered the Camp. No line number has been given as of
yet. Since the Camp will participate in
the Veterans Day Parade the Camp will not hold its end of month meeting.
The December meeting will be a
social at the home of Brother David Milam on Saturday December 28. Time still to be determined.
The Camp voted on and the
following Brothers were elected to hold Camp positions for the coming year
beginning at the installation ceremony on October 19, 2002.

Hogan discussed the progress of the Graves Registration Project with a goal of
each member registering at least ten graves of Civil War Veterans.

Secretary’s Report
Camp has 28 Members that includes, 1 Life Member, 1 Junior Member, 2 Members
holding dual membership with another Camp.
Next Meeting: The October meeting will be at the home of Brother Bill Hollis and his wife Sue. The time is 3-5 pm, October 19, rain or shine. Directions follow the report. The Camp will install new officers at this meeting.

on Saturday, October 19. The time will be from 3 to 5pm. Rain
or Shine. Please bring or wear some
sturdy shoes if you want to go on a short hike in the woods (we have some
beautiful rock formations and a few trails).
Bill and I will make chili and provide hot
dogs. We will make ice tea (sweet or
unsweet) and lemonade and coffee and have ice. Please have everyone bring
a covered dish to share. Please bring a lawn chair. Ask if anyone has a
croquet set; the kids can bring frisbees or a ball to play with. We have
about 4 acres of cut lawn to play on and a dog that likes to run.
